A couple questions about making popcorn in a popcorn machine?

Hello 
How many oz of popping oil would we need to buy for a party of about 30 people?
How many oz of popcorn kernals?

Also I bought 1oz bags so serving would be 1oz of popcorn

Pop corn is a snack they NEVER get tired of. Plan for five servings for people for four hours. They will eat that much. You can make pop corn balls, sweet, savory, spicy or flavored to help you manage what they will eat. The reason you use the flavors is not only to cater to people’s taste, but also to help them manage what they will scarf on at your place. hehe
When you have more than 20, plan to feed a 100. Because some of them are empty snackers, spillers and sharer’s with guests you didn’t know they were bringing. Also, compensate for Fido or Rover snacking, too!
If using an air popper, I’d plan for 30 cycles of popping! And keep them popping all night. It’s an inexpensive snack.
