I have a popcorn machine in my house and I usually buy coconut oil off the internet and have it shipped but I really would like to find a place that has some here locally. I am looking for the orange colored, butter flavored type coconut oil that is specifically made for popcorn.

What kernels/oil should I use?

I just got a Nostalgia Electrics Retro Popcorn Machine, it looks pretty cool, but i have no idea what kind of kernels (if there even ARE different kinds of kernels) to use, or what kind of oil to use (i’ve heard that coconut oil’s good, but that canola oil is healthier?). Thanks! (oh and you can also throw a few reviews in there too if you have any personal experience).

i saw my mom looking at this on her computer and she knows i love the movie theater popcorn so i think she is going to buy me this…

including the stand. the thing is, its not the movie theater style its the antique style so does that mean it wont make theater popcorn? and how can i make theater popcorn with it? people have been saying that you don’t need one to make it but some have been saying u do so whats the deal? some have also been talking about coconut oil and something called flavolo or something. and how much of it do u need? and does that machine above make theater popcorn? is it top Quality?

PS if u are gonna show me some links, to machines, please make sure they are black and white.

THANKS ALL!

The seasoning is orange in color and has that unique theater taste. I know that popcorn is sometimes popped in coconut oil, however, how to pop it is not the question. I simply want the recipe for the old fashioned seasoning.
I have looked on both the popcorn isle and the spice isle in the grocery store and have not found it.
