the party is for our 8th grade graduation(nostalgia purposes, good movie, etc.)
so far im thinking of serving n&ms, jellybeans, popcorn, strawberries, maybe chex mix, and maybe buying a pizza and cutting it up into little pieces (i told people to eat dinner before, but they know snacks will be served)
any other ideas for food, or just general party ideas?

I am having a joint birthday party for my 2 boys. It is going to be a good old fashioned disco at a function room with party games etc.
Could you please give me some ideas for party food. I have all the usual Sandwiches, mini sausages and pizza etc and have sorted out the sweet side of the menu (iced rings, fairy cakes, popcorn and jelly sweets, jaffa cakes etc) but need to extend the savories! It’s easy to get the kids to pig out on sweets and chocolate but not as easy to make the savory food as appealing!
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hey!
I’m having my sweet 16 in early september and i don’t know what to do for it! So far I have 2 decent ideas:
1.) Think "drive in movie". I would get a huge movie screen and put it in my backyard with quilts on the grass and play 1-2 movies on the big screen. I would get pizza and have an old fashioned popcorn/cotton candy machine. I would also have baskets with movie candy in them on each quilt. I would be able to invite 40-50 people(boys&girls) for this party.
2.) My second idea is a day on the town(in Boston). I would pick 6 of my closest friends(a little hard to do) and take a limo downtown(about 20 mins.) and get mani/pedis for all girls. Then we’d go out to lunch and shop the whole day in Boston on Newberry St. This can only be around 6 *girls* though.
—I love both ideas! If you were my age (going to be a junior in H.S.) which would you rather attend? Please let me know which is better & if you have any other ideas(try to keep them inexpensive!)Thanks so much!-Isabella
