Does anyone know where I could find a new or used old fashioned electric hot oil popcorn maker that doesn’t cost a fortune? I have checked out all the big box stores, QVC, Amazon, HSN, they still have them (you can’t find them in stores) but the cheapest ones are in the .00 range. Does anyone know where I can find one cheaper??? Thanks!!

I’m not sure what type you’re talking about, but I see all sorts of popcorn poppers in department stores in time for holiday shopping (winter holidays…xmas, etc.), and they’re usually on pretty good sales. For some reason, most stores don’t carry them the rest of the year. I assume you mean the type that has a churner kind of thing that keeps the kernels moving while they’re popping? Did you check at home goods type of stores like Bed, Bath, & Beyond? They would probably have something like what you’re looking for, but it’s going to be a little more expensive than a regular department store. In the meantime, you could just do it the *real* old fashioned way, shaking it up in an old big pot.
I prefer my air popper, but the stovetop is good if you want to make kettle corn or have other seasoning kind of "popped in" instead of sprinkling it on top.
Walmart probably i donno i found mine at a garage sale
